My Princess

A few weeks and you'll be here.
You will come into being and put a picture to all my thoughts.
Your smile will fill my days, your tears will break my heart.
I will be a mother - I don't know how to be one, you'll teach me along the way.
I will fumble, not do things right the first time, but I'll learn.
You'll teach me how to be one - by things you do right, and things you do wrong, by things that make you angry and things that make you sad, but mostly by things that make you smile - those that will make you laugh and be joyful. It's your joy that will help me be the mother that I would like to be.
Like my mother is to me - one that is full of love, one who takes away all my worries, one for whom my smallest problem is bigger than her biggest troubles. She never judges me, even when I lose my cool,  even when I am bitter, when I make her the target of any of my worries - she is my sounding board. She knows me like no one else can. I know that no matter how big the problem is, telling her makes it fine. I am her princess and will always be even when I'll be all grey hairs. So will you be mine!
My princess in a few weeks from now and for months and years to come.
